Dandelions

You should just let the dandelions take over your yard because it, and you, and everything is ephemeral. Stop denying this with your frantic weeding and manicuring of your lawn.

Yeah well maybe you should stop telling me what I should do with my lawn, homie.

yes, everything is ephemeral, which is beautiful but also can be used as a tricky intellectual temptation of an excuse to stop doing just about anything....or it can be a temptation to do everything being that the risk involved in any given task seems far less relevant. that said, i think lawns might be one of the most disturbing uses of land that i've ever seen. it's one thing to have a patch to roll around on (especially if you have a whole bunch of space your monkeying aroung with), but having the majority of your land be pampered grass (that you have to mow with lawn mowers which are one of the biggest sources of emissions next to cars) simply makes no sense biologically, intellectually, intuitively, obviously. i'm all about aesthetics but can we be a little more creative/ efficient about it at least? grow food/ medicine? animals roaming? build a maze? i mean you could literally come up with anything! take all of your poops on it for all i care and use it for fuel...but for the love of honesty...use it! lawns are wasteful lies, passively telling us that we have open natural spaces to dwell in. I have strewn my body all over way too many of them and enjoyed it.

Okay I confess, I do not have a "lawn" and never will most likely. I have a lot of clover, this mean weed that is sticky and then the sticky stuff gives you a rash, and nasturtiums. I'm trying to get the whole thing to be nasturtiums so I've been pulling up the clovah.
